BBQ et Fromage Cauliflower

With some leftover gruyere cheese from the previous week’s recipe (Flan de carottes), I rummaged through my fridge to see what I could make. I dislike throwing away food. After spotting some Kansas City BBQ and cauliflower, I knew I needed to whip up a little snack with these ingredients.

The best thing about getting into a groove with cooking and baking, is all the ingredients you’ll have on hand. This is just one example but trust me, as you get more into, you’ll be making some pretty delicious dishes on the fly.

This one is incredibly easy and packed with smoky, sweet flavors that you get not only from the BBQ but also the garlic powder and gruyere. Enjoy with little guilt. 🙂
Ingredients:
- Cauliflower
- BBQ – any type, choose your favorite
- Garlic Powder
- Gruyere Cheese
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions
- Chop your cauliflower into florets
- In a large bowl, mix the cauliflower and 1/2 cup of olive oil
- Once mixed, add in garlic powder to taste (I added 1 tbsp). Then mix.
- Add 1 cup of BBQ sauce, mix.
- Place on a foiled baking sheet.
- Cook for 10 minutes on 375 F
- Remove from oven and add 1/2 cup more BBQ sauce on top.
- Put back in oven for 7-10 minutes.
- Afterwards, sprinkle on the gruyere cheese.
- Then broil for anywhere from 5-7 minutes to get a crisp.
- Enjoy!
